Next programme : MIX5
The dancers of the Ballet Junior de Genève will be presenting their second programme of the season, MIX5, at the Salle des Eaux-Vives from 6-10 June 2012.
MIX5 will consist of no fewer than three specialy commisioned pieces and an addition to the repertoire.
It will be a great opportunity to discover the work of the young and talented Israeli choreographer Idan Sharabi, from the famous Batsheva Dance Company, as well as a creation by genevan choreographer Ken Ossola. The third creation will be by Stijn Celis, whose works figure in the repertoire of some of the world's most famous dance companies. The evening will also give the public the chance to rediscover Gilles Jobin's excellent Double Deux, a work created for his own company in 2006, given here as an excerpt.

MIX4
The Ballet Junior de Genève presented MIX4 from 20 to 22 January at the Salle des Eaux-Vives, Geneva.
Four pieces from the repertoire , giving four distinct atmospheres. The seven dancers in Uprising by Hofesh Shechter make up a world of urban wondering and of rekindled fraternity, whilst Flabbergast by Gustavo Ramirez Sansano exposes with humour our stereotypes and preconceived ideas with a sound score of salsa and conga rythms. With Clash, an abstract piece by Patrick Delcroix, the Ballet Junior dancers explore the fluidity of movement through complex and striking phrases unerlining a battle between the sexes. Finally, in On the First Counterpoint by Nina Vallon, it is Bach's Art of the Fugue which is revisited as each movement takes its starting point from the score.
The young dancers of the company will meet his public again in June with MIX5. The program will be online as soon as possible.
Ballet Junior is regularly sponsored by: Le Département des Affaires Culturelles de la Ville de Genève, Le Département de l'Instruction Publique de l'Etat de Genève, La Loterie Suisse Romande, Fondation Stanley Thomas Johnson , Fondation Fluxum
